As Managing Director of Taxpayer Services and Compliance, Louisa brings to the Agency a specialised blend of enhanced leadership skills to the private and public sectors. With her prior experience as Revenue Commissioner with the Barbados Revenue Authority, Head of Tax at KPMG and Tax Partner at PwC, Louisa has advised governmental bodies and the private sector for over 25 years on domestic, regional and international tax and corporate matters.
Her professional history includes serving as a director of Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations and on the Management Committees of Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrations and the Caribbean Organisation of Tax Administrations, Director of the Barbados Revenue Authority and Chair of the Barbados Land Tax Relief Board, representative on the Tax Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB), Barbados Tax Task Force, Joint Economic Group and representative on the OECDs tax working party groups.
Her combined leadership of a tax administration and in the private sector, has led to the successful implementation and delivery of improved economic outcomes, information technology infrastructure design and customer service delivery. Building public trust with taxpayers and stakeholders is her focus and along with the establishing a network of local, regional and international stakeholder relationships Louisa has developed excellent governance practices and enhanced the opportunities for growth and development of her teams.
