General Information
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using CITA online, you (“User”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you are not authorised to use the Portal.
2. Eligibility
You must be obligated to register with CITA i.e. you must be a taxpayer or authorized representative.
3. User Responsibilities
Accuracy: You are responsible for ensuring all information provided through the Portal is correct and complete to the best of your knowledge and belief.
Confidentiality: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines while using the Portal.
4. Use of the Portal
The Portal is provided solely for the purpose of enabling access to CITA services, including the electronic filing of tax returns and related documents with CITA.
Any unauthorised use, including but not limited to data mining, scraping, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users’ information, is strictly prohibited.
5. Privacy and Data Security
The collection, use, and disclosure of personal information through the Portal are governed by CITA’s Privacy Policy.
Reasonable measures are taken to protect your data; however, you acknowledge that no system can be completely secure.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, software, and materials on the Portal are the property of CITA or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content or materials on the Portal without prior written consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available.” CITA makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the Portal.
CITA is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Portal.
8. Suspension and Termination
CITA reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Portal at any time for violation of these Terms and Conditions or for maintenance and security reasons.
9. Amendments
CITA may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Portal after such amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Bermuda. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bermuda.
